Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 27, 2026
This policy describes how ericvalencia.life processes information for its private productivity features.
What ericvalencia.life is
ericvalencia.life is a private productivity and personal information management application. It is used to organize personal notes, thoughts, tasks, calendar-linked work, attachments, wiki-style pages, settings, and related operational information.
Information the application may process
Depending on which features are used, the application may process account and profile information, authentication records, thoughts, notes, tasks, wiki content, categories, tags, calendar-related data, attachment metadata and files, application settings, and operational or security logs.
The application does not operate as an advertising platform, and the repository does not support using personal data for advertising profiles or selling user data.
Google user data
Google integrations are used only when a signed-in user explicitly connects a Google account in Settings.
For Google Calendar, the application requests permission for Calendar events so it can import and synchronize calendar events with the application and create calendar events for scheduled thoughts.
For Google Drive, the application requests Drive permission so it can create, list, update, download, and trash files or folders needed for application attachment storage. The application does not claim access to unrelated Google services.
The server stores the Google connection record, granted scopes, Google account identity information when provided by Google, and an encrypted refresh token so the connected features can continue to work after the initial authorization.
How Google user data is used
Google user data is used only to provide the requested application functionality: calendar import and synchronization, creating Calendar events for scheduled thoughts, and storing or managing attachment files in Google Drive.
Google user data is not used for advertising, sold to third parties, or used to build unrelated profiles.
Sharing and service providers
User data and Google user data may be processed by the infrastructure needed to operate the application, such as hosting providers, database providers, storage providers, and Google APIs. These providers are used to run the service, store data, transmit requests, and support backup or recovery operations.
The application does not sell user data or share Google user data with third parties for advertising.
Data storage and security
Reasonable technical and operational safeguards are used to protect application data. The application includes encrypted data handling for sensitive stored data and uses encrypted backup archives for disaster recovery.
No system can guarantee perfect security. Access controls, encryption, operational discipline, and limited exposure are used to reduce risk.
Google API Services User Data Policy
The application's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements, when those requirements apply to the requested scopes.
User control
A signed-in user may disconnect the Google connection through Settings. Disconnecting removes the local Google connection record and the application attempts to revoke the Google refresh token.
Users may also revoke access directly from their Google Account permissions page.
Data retention and deletion
Application data generally remains until it is removed by the user or administrator, or otherwise deleted as part of application maintenance. The repository does not define a formal automatic deletion period for all application data.
Encrypted system backups may be stored using cloud storage providers for disaster recovery and may retain Latest, Weekly, and Monthly recovery versions.
